Free AI opportunity map

Find one small AI test in your marketing work.

Choose one job worth testing. Name the owner. Fence the test. Write the proof and stop line before you pick a tool.

1. Choose the opportunity

Pick a strong first job.

Ask how much owner time the change could save. Then ask how much harm a wrong action could cause. Start small when the upside is useful and the harm is low.

Owner time saved and harm if wrong

Each box repeats both facts, so you do not need color to read the map.

Less owner time savedMore owner time saved
More harm if wrong
Less harm if wrong

Adapted from the risk and value questions in my AI systems book work.

2. Map the job

Write one opportunity row.

Answer each prompt for the same job. Use a made-up sample for the first test.

1. Repeated job

What is the job?

How often do you do it? What goes in? What comes out?

2. Owner and reviewer

Who stays in charge?

Who owns the job? Who checks the test?

3. Friction or risk

Where does it get stuck?

Where does time go? What can go wrong or sit and wait?

4. Small test

What can you test?

What can you try on one made-up sample? What must a person check?

5. Proof and stop

How will you judge it?

What will you record? What will make you stop?

3. Fence the test

Make the first run easy to review.

A small first run needs four clear parts.

1

Small area

Use one made-up sample or one safe copy.

2

Clear stop

Name the point where the test must end.

3

Real check

Have a person compare the result with the source.

4

Easy undo

Take no live action. Keep the test easy to discard.
